History

The founder of the firm, Thom F. Janidlo, was born and raised in Pennsylvania.  After graduating from St. Vincent College in Latrobe,
Mr. Janidlo accepted a commission as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps
where he served in Vietnam. He completed his active duty service and attended the University of San Diego Law School, graduating from that
night school program in 1977.

Mr. Janidlo accepted a position with the Alaska Department of Health and Human Services in Anchorage for two years and then was appointed an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Alaska in the Human Services Section.  Mr. Janidlo retired from state service in 1990 and opened his private law practice in 1991. The practice began with a focus on family law issues, which continues today.

Mr. Janidlo has served on numerous national, state and local boards and commissions giving of his volunteer time to support efforts to improve the quality of life for individuals in our community and world. Mr. Janidlo was a 2007 recipient of the Anchorage Light of Hope award given in recognition
of his 30 years of service.
